BELYEA, DONALD CARY

Donald C. Belyea, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on July 19, 2022, at Orchard Creek Skilled Care in Traverse City.

Don will be remembered for his love of his family, his love of golfing, boating and his kind soul.  Everyone Don met he claimed as friend and he would reach out with a firm handshake and a kind word.

Don is being welcomed into heaven by his loving parents, Ed and Joyce; and his special grandmother, 'HL'.

Don was born January 11, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois the son of Edward and Joyce (Welin) Belyea.  On February 13, 1971, he was united in marriage with Margaret (Rehkopf) Belyea, who survives.  Also surviving are his two children, Nicole Belyea and Ben (Jenna) Belyea; granddaughters, Savannah Nevala, Elyse and Mabel Belyea; and his siblings, Ed, Floyd (Melody) and Annette.

A private celebration was held in the chapel at Central United Methodist Church with Pastor Chris Lane.  Private burial took place in Crapo Cemetery, Grant Township, Michigan.  ...Rest in Peace dear Don.

The family is thankful for the wonderful care that Don received at both Munson Medical Center and Orchard Creek Skilled Care.   Memorial contributions may be made to Cherryland Humane Society.
